Hello!

Here's a quick overview of my story so far, to reassure you that your special meal or event, however big or small, is in a highly professional, trusted pair of hands...

 

My career began at The Ritz, London, where I gained invaluable experience working alongside Michael Quinn MBE. Several amazing opportunities followed, leading to my appointment to help open The Alverton Manor Hotel, Cornwall, where I quickly gained national recognition for outstanding cuisine.

​

Further Head Chef roles enabled me to secure 4-stars and AA rosettes for other leading hotels.
Later, as Group Development Chef for the Brend Hotel Group, I managed their 11 hotels, 2 restaurants and over 75 chefs, whilst also working closely with local producers, farmers and fishermen to showcase the fantastic produce we have here in the South West.

Dez@SV beautifully combines all my experiences to create a special one for you

Furthermore, it enables me to celebrate and share my love for the finest West Country ingredients.

Prepare to be spoilt.

Booking your own private chef is the ultimate in luxurious dining

and will create a lasting memory that your guests will cherish.

It's a chance to enjoy the experience of a top-class restaurant in the comfort of your own home, but without the need for a late night taxi and no stress over any planning. We can also visit your holiday home or event venue.

​

What to expect?

​

Typically, I am booked because of my reputation to bring more to the table than just amazing food.

At each course, I'll share with you the stories of local suppliers, and offer insight into my ingredients and personal cooking processes. In that way, I'll make sure the kitchen is never 'behind-the-scenes' but 'part-of-the-action' in a way that you'll love.

You'll all get to meet Carolyn too.

Carolyn provides exceptional front-of-house service,
so that together we can be sure of fully immersing everyone in their personal Dez@SV dining experience.

 

Relax, we've got it covered.

​

Not only will we bring everything with us (inclusive of crockery, tableware & decor),

but we'll also discreetly take it away... so you won't even catch sight of a dirty dish!

All we ask is that you provide your own glassware & drinks
(we recommend Susie Atkins for wine recommendations and pairings).

​

Tiny kitchen? Not a problem. Most of the preparation takes place at our recently refitted kitchen.

Special requests or dietary needs? Go as bespoke as you like - this is all about you!
